Creature as big as a MINIBUS caught on camera prowling in Loch Ness
'I think it could be Nessie' said a veteran of the search for the mythical monster.
A HUGE creature the size of a minibus prowls through Loch Ness in a jaw-dropping potential sighting of the mythical monster.
Eoin O’Faodhagain said his “heart jumped” when he spotted the 18-foot presence while watching the water via webcam.
He said: “I noticed two dark shapes moving in sequence with each other about 100 yards out into Loch Ness.
“My heart jumped and I was astonished at the length of what was coming into view.
“I thought this is truly an interesting and intriguing sighting, and visually clear.”
He estimates the creature caught on camera was between 16 and 18 feet in length.

That’s roughly the size of a 12-seater Ford Transit minibus.
“There are no known creatures in Loch Ness that are as large as 16 to 18 feet long,” said Eoin, 59.
“I am not given the impression it’s a fish species.
“And I imagine an eel – even a giant one – would be more flexible and wriggly, but this creature is more rigidly moving.
“That is why I think there is a lot more body underneath supporting it.”
He added: “I think it could be Nessie – ruling out all other known creatures because of size.”
In the footage, two shapes – one smaller, one larger – are seen slowly moving north as the camera pans left to right, and back again.
Mr O’Faodhagain, a veteran Nessie hunter, thinks they’re both part of the same huge animal.
He said: “I think the smaller shape is attached to the larger slender shape, because they maintain the same distance between them throughout the video.
“The only way this is possible is that both shapes belong to one living creature.
“I presume the front object is the head of the creature and is possibly searching for fish close to the surface, as well as keeping an eye on everything above the water.
“It seems to be watching all around – you may say slightly anxious.
“The creature’s head looked like a round football, and even the swallows were flying all around it doing their own investigation.”
The footage, taken on July 9, was captured using a webcam at the Clansman Hotel maintained by Visit Inverness Loch Ness (VILN).
Eoin often logs on to watch the water from his home in County Donegal, Ireland.
Over the years, he’s racked up multiple entries in the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register.
But new restrictions concerning webcam sightings have kept his recent contributions off the record.
